New technology for insertion and collaboration

Kern AG looks back on a successful Hunkeler Innovationdays 2019. The market received the announced collaboration between Kern and Hunkeler very positively. In the finishing solutions area, both companies will be working together.

At the event, Kern also presented a new dimension in inserting technology at its booth: the Kern 3800 inserting system opens up new perspectives in terms of modularity, flexibility, and job security.

With some 6500 visitors, the 13th Hunkeler Innovationdays was the most successful event in its history. Hunkeler Innovationdays 2019 took place between 25 and 28 February 2019, in Lucerne. In the two exhibition halls at the Lucerne exhibition site, the world’s leading industry manufacturers met throughout the four days, and presented the next generation of high-performance digital printing and finishing technology. As never before seen in any similar setting, the products presented by over 100 leading providers were arranged in one single context – focused, practical, and easy to survey. Bona fide solutions for modern paper processing provided visitors from all over the world with new and future-oriented perspectives.

Visitors from all parts of the world discovered current technological opportunities within the industry. The guiding theme of “success with automation” hit the mark. The Kern 3800 fulfilled exactly these requirements, and the interest of guests was very high as a result. At individual presentations and demonstrations, the interested professional audience could find out about the preventive behaviour of the machine, which ensures constant processing and offers the highest levels of production and process security. The system detects potential disturbance factors, and responds to them at an early stage, with no external intervention. The high level of modularity of the potential configurations enables creation of tailored solutions for any and all customer requirements, and all formats. The widest variety of requirements are placed on smart, leading-edge technology: the business of Kern. The Kern 3800 can fulfil future customer requirements and needs.
