National Gift Card Invests in Gift Card Fulfillment Advancement

National Gift Card adds 40,000 Square Feet for More State of the Art Technology and Staff.

National Gift Card (NGC), North America's most automated gift card provider and fulfillment company serving the B2B loyalty, rewards, and incentive marketplace with more than 2,000 U.S., Canadian and European corporate clients, invested more than $2 million to expand its existing facility to 92,000 square feet and make room for the addition of three new state-of-the-art gift card fulfilment machines.

Now in production, the new machines were built in conjunction with Kern International Inc., the American subsidiary for the Swiss-based manufacturer of the fastest card affixing and mail insertion equipment in the world. The technology investment includes:

A Kern 91 machine with multi-card affixing capability that increases capacity, speed and accuracy from traditional gift card fulfillment techniques. In addition, the existing Kern 91s were upgraded by adding additional cameras to enhance quality and further reduce any potential errors.

A Kern 90-HS that is the first of its kind in the world capable of processing single card orders at a rate of 12,000 per hour – perfect for NGC's industry expertise in supporting both retailer rebate programs as well as the wellness and healthcare markets for incentive programs that reward consumers with gift cards for making healthy life decisions.

Kern Card Sorter, a sorter machine, also first of its kind in the world, that assures speed, quality and accuracy by stacking the correct gift card in the right order to ensure consumers redeeming points, miles, or cash-back for a gift card receive the correct cards in their order.
