Kern 996 efficient input modules for high-productivity dispatching.

The Kern 996 offers high cutting capacity, simple handling and the highest security level. The cutter processes a wide diversity of applications and is immediately ready for use.

The ergonomic design and the touch screen interface allow fast access to the system. Feeding of the paper happens automatically and accelerates the setup process. Additionally the paper flow is easily visible and accessible, so adjustments require only a short time. The paper transport is designed for pinless as well as for pinfeed material. Furthermore all current standard codes like bar code, datamatrix, OMR or OCR can be processed.

Since the module is equipped with the same technologies as the Kern 2600, Kern 3600 and Kern 5000 inserting systems, it can be integrated into the new product generation without any difficulties.

Additional to the system

Grouping and Diverting station (GT)

  • With the new full color printers clients are being confronted with the issue of white zones within the printing flow. Up to now the documents had to be cut out by hand or transported through the system by special processing modes. With the optional grouping and diverting station Kern AG now offers a solution which complements the Kern 996 perfectly.
  • The GT holds a diverting station which diverts white page documents. A further highlight: compared to the previous model Kern 990 / Kern 995, the GT in combination with a Kern 3500 reaches an increased performance in bigger groups of up to 40%.

White-Paper-Function

  • The Kern 996 high-speed cutter automatically detects white-paper zones and systematically cuts them out. This optimizes further processing and considerably increases the efficiency.

Full-Page-Scan

  • The optional FullPage Scan reading reduces manual access in the system, which accelerates the processing of jobs.
  • The flexible reading system reads differentcodes at any position over the complete format range, which increases reliability and security when processing a job.
